Ghanaian dancehall superstar and the King of Nima - [The Youth President] , Shatta Wale, is once again at the center of controversy after agents from the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) reportedly stormed his residence in connection with a probe into allegedly stolen luxury vehicles.
According to multiple media reports, EOCO officers raided the award-winning musician’s home with armed personnel, suspecting that some of the luxury cars in his possession may have been imported illegally or acquired through suspicious means.
The Dancehall King, Shatta Wale didn't take the incident lightly. Taking to social media, the artist lashed out at EOCO boss Raymond Archer, accusing the agency of using excessive force and attempting to damage his reputation.
"EOCO came to my house with guns like I'm a criminal. You just made me lose respect for your office," he said in a fiery post.
He also warned that such actions may let the current political party loose power in the next elections.
While EOCO hasn’t officially confirmed details, the operation is believed to be tied to an investigation into luxury vehicles allegedly linked to international fraud cases. Some of these cars are suspected to have been stolen and shipped into Ghana illegally.
The agency has yet to comment on whether Shatta Wale is under direct investigation or simply a person of interest.
